Your photo knows where it was taken. And what took it.
See the hidden metadata inside a file, remove it, or change the format — and be told exactly what changed.

There is no upload step
Other tools promise to delete your file afterwards. There is nothing here to delete.
The code that reads your file runs in this tab and never calls out. Two tests prove it on every build: one fails if the engine’s source contains fetch, XMLHttpRequest or any file access; the other runs a full analyse and clean with those functions replaced by recorders, and records nothing.

How this works, in depth
- What is EXIF metadata?EXIF is the block of information your camera writes inside a photo: device, lens, exposure, timestamps and often GPS.
- How to remove EXIF metadata from a photoRemove EXIF, GPS, IPTC and XMP from JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and AVIF images without recompressing them — and check that it actually worked.
- How to remove GPS coordinates from photosPhotos can record where they were taken to within a few metres.
- What metadata does an iPhone photo contain?iPhone photos record the exact camera module, lens, exposure, iOS version, timestamps with sub-second precision and — unless disabled — the location.
12 formats can be read, and each one allows a different amount: some can be cleaned but not edited, some convert and some do not. The table says which is which, and names the formats this build refuses rather than leaving them out. See the format table
